Community Engagement

Collaboration brings forth new expectations! Working together makes things better. We Support Caregivers believe in supporting other social disparities in the community. Below are a few ways we showed community engagement over the years.

2023 Homeless Community Feedings

On August, 27th, We Support Caregivers was able to support the homeless community with over 100 meals and hygiene kits. We are thankful to everyone who helped us meet our goal. 

On November 25th,  We Support Caregivers was able to support the homeless community for the second time this year with over 100 meals and hygiene kits. We are thankful to everyone who helped us meet our goal.

2022 New Year's Eve Community Feeding

On December 31st @1:30pm 2022, We Support Caregivers Inc ended the year 2022 with a bang. We Support Caregivers volunteered with Hearts Full of Grace to feed the homeless community. Over 100 individuals were feed and received Self-care Hygiene Kits. 

Silver Talks

On December 3rd @6;30pm 2022,  5 non-profit organizations came together for a virtual focus group called Silver Talks. The talk show style event focused on informing the public of the ways they serve the community, what needs they have, and  their upcoming events.

Intentionally Thankful Giveaway

On November 22nd 2022, We Support Caregivers showed their appreciation to caregivers in the community with our Intentionally Thankful Giveaway. The Executive Director along with our Executive Secretary Celeste Wooten, gave oout Thanksgiving baskets and Self-care Support Kits to caregivers in the community

Care Clinic

April 23rd  2022,  We Support Caregivers volunteered at the Cathedral of Faith Care Clinic. Our Executive Director along with other volunteers, helped prepare and pack more than 100 care kits for the homeless community. 

Workshops: Coexisting With COVID-19

July 10th 2020, During  Covid-19 Pandemic, We Support Caregivers hosted workshops to teach individuals how to co-exist with COVID -19. The workshop was instructed by our CEO and  healthcare professional, LaSheena McBride. She taught individuals how to co-exist with Covid-19 by providing information regarding COVID, How COVID is spread, Ways to protect ourself and others, proper hand hygiene, and more.
